Well our Elodie is a year old now and her Aunt Hell is a year younger now. They both had good birthdays, Elodie's involved more pink and less alcohol than her aunt's but give her twenty years or so. But she's one and I couldn't be prouder. Hell, on the other hand, turned another year younger and I managed to not be able to keep up for the entire night. But I wasn't the only mam there, I didn't know Sarah Smith before but I'm going to owl her and set up a play date for our boys. My boys can never have too many play dates. They're all energy.

This weekend we're going to see the Falcons and Arrows and then we're going to see Daddy play the Bats. The Bats Chasers don't have a thing on Julian, I'm sorry, they just don't. I can't wait to see Mariel Keller beat Lottie Parkin to the Snitch. It's alright if you make her cry, Mariel. No one who supports Caerphilly will judge, I promise.

And if the Bats thought their master plan of having their little reserve Seeker shag two of the Wasps Chasers to get into their minds, well it didn't work on Howard Wintringham. But he does start for English National. That doesn't mean I like him, I just think that you should come up with a better plan than whoring out your Reserve Seeker.

But since I am going to see Julian play that means I'll miss Portree/Magpies. I don't know who Hebe Wiggleswade will be cheering for but either way it should be a good match with Portree winning. Stephanie Keitch beat Hell once last season, it won't happen again, but at least she'll put up a fight so it'll be enough to keep it interesting. Although Melisande Grubbly-Plank won't be playing in the match, I heard. That is some bad potion. I mean, I was terrible at potions at Hogwarts, you can ask anyone, but damn that must be some strong bad potion.

The Wasps are going to roll over Tutshill this weekend and the Falcons will take care of the Arrows so. But I always love a good Falcons match and their Seeker isn't half bad and she's a woman, so there's something I can always get behind. But Greg Cotton won't exactly just roll over and die, I know, I played him at Hogwarts.

I love Quidditch. I'm glad it's Quidditch season.

I think after this weekend I'm going to have to finally make myself sit down and sort out all the clothing my children have and decide what to keep, what to save, what to pass on, and what belongs in the rubbish bin. I'm not looking forward to that but it needs to be done. My children have a load of clothes.

I'm also glad that Quivoca is home from Hogwarts although I don't know how she manages to keep her schedule straight. But we've seen her plenty enough and she was here for Hell and Elodie's birthday. (Between Quivoca, Hell, Florence, and Aunt Irene I have a very spoiled little girl.) That was nice, she got to help me plan it and get ready for it and that's always nice, especially when I have two boys who need their mam's attention too.

I know that Viva and Mairwen are expecting soon. I keep wondering if Mairwen is going back to Quidditch, but it's not polite to ask. But Tutshill did get that Seeker out of Hogwarts and if you ask Q Viva, we'll see if you make the match on Sunday, either way I won't see you.

I'm not even going to start on Aingeal Mulley because everyone can guess what I think. Pregnant women are mental, I would know.
