Ugh, I've been meaning to post for days, but real life is kinda kicking my ass right now. It's the usual end-of-summer rush, when you realize that everybody's going back to school, and there's still SO MUCH fun that still needs to be had! That, and I've got strep throat. I've had it a half dozen times before, but this is the first time in two and a half years. Kinda sucks.
Ok, so here's a fun thing:
How this works: Comment and -if you want- I'll give you a letter. In your journal, list 10 of your favorite songs that begin with that letter.
dutchie_1991 gave me an I. Unfortunately, all my music on my computer is a big mess right now, as are my CDs, so my list is probably not that accurate, and I'm sure I've missed stuff that I absolutely love. Oh well, such is life. Anyways, somewhat-in-a-particular-order, but mostly just mashed together:
1. Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin
2. I'll Keep Your Memory Vague - Finger Eleven
3. In Your World - Muse
4. I Am The Highway - Audioslave
5. Iron Man - Black Sabbath
6. It's Not Over - Daughtry
7. In My Time Of Dying - Led Zeppelin
8. Imagine - John Lennon and/or A Perfect Circle
9. It's Been A While - Staind
10. It's All Over - Three Days Grace
The day before yesterday Manda
pollyrepeat showed me a new show that is made of awesome. It's called "Pushing Daisies" and it's amazing. It's got this super-colourful, bright, blissful kind of visual style. The story, however, is that when someone dies, the main character can touch them and bring them back to life, but if it is for more than 60 seconds, someone else dies. Also, if he ever touches them again, they die once more, and it's permanent. It sounds bizarre, but you really have to see it, it's so well done. It also has really witty, fast humour, and kind of reminds me of Gilmore Girls in that sense. I highly recommend it.
Pushing Daisies on ABC ETA: Oh, one more thing I wanted to write about. A couple of days ago I had the weirdest/creepiest dream. I was looking into a mirror, and my eyes were this extremely bright electric blue, and my pupils were tiny black pinpricks, almost nonexistent. My green pigment was leaking into the inner corners of my eyes. Then, blue liquid started dripping out of my eyes and mouth. It was fucking creepy, man. And vivid.
Then when we were in the bookstore the other day, I came across one of those dream diaries, and looked up eyes. Now I looked up one online, to see what it said. I do believe dreams have significance, I don't believe you can look up dream symbols in a dictionary and expect answers. It is, however, still fun. Also, thought provoking.
