Have there been documented cases of people actually dying from attempting to climb these ledges?

I've noticed their faces disappearing from the 'Gear Network.

[Coop's not a headdesking kinda guy, actually. He'll take that into consideration for a second.]

I find it implausible that the disappearances are in any direct relation to people attempting to climb ledges, even if the physics pertaining to them are curiously warped.

I'm also not of the belief that people disappearing can be equated to them actually dying.
