Romilda

Luna was excited! She had recently discovered that she had a talent for folding napkins into bizarre animals, and then charming them to make noises like real ones. To the dissatisfaction of the students inhabiting the area, she was currently practicing in the Great Hall.

ooc: I saw your "be nice to lovegood" post.

ooc: oh, awesome! :)

Romilda had come down to the Great Hall for a spot of relaxation and nutrition but she couldn't help but moan as she saw Luna playing with her napkin animals. Making a slight face, she put a smile on her face and went to sit on the Gryffindor table closer than she normally would have dared to the Ravenclaw.

Looking around, she spotted a few Ravenclaw faces she recognized. "Hey Katie, Amanda, Cho... Luna," Romilda said.

"Hello," Luna replied in her typical chipper manner. It didn't matter that she was quite sure Romilda disliked her.

Romilda searched for something to further her conversation with the blonde. Her eyes skipped to the small animals prancing on the table. "So, um, what do you have there?" she asked awkwardly.

"I was folding napkins, aren't they cute?" She carefully stopped an obnoxiously loud duck from waddling of the end of the table.

She paused, and considered it for a second. Honestly, they were kind of cute, even if they had been made by the craziest girl in the school.

"They're adorable. How'd you do that?" Romilda asked inquisitively.

Luna was slightly shocked by Romilda's intrest, but certainly wasn't one to question it.

"It's kind of like origami. I can show you! You have to pick an animal first though."

"Okay," Romilda said slowly. "Like... any animal? Like... a lion?"

She was actually getting into the whole folded-paper animal thing.

"I am sure we could do that." Luna hunted around the area for another napkin, not wanting to end the existance of any of her creatures. When she found one, she began folding the napkin, and attempting to explain what she was doing.

Romilda frowned a little as Luna folded the napkin, trying to concentrate on her swift finger movements. She tilted her head as Luna finished the animal and raised an eyebrow.

"Wow."

"Isn't it cute?" Luna examined her creation.

"Now we can enchant it to make it move, and then, if you are really ambitious, you could turn it different colors, because white can be kind of boring."

Romilda reached over and gently prodded the animal with her wand, muttering a spell to make it roar. The small lion, frozen in its position, let out a bellowing growl, and she grinned. "That's brilliant," Romilda said. "What's the spell to make it move?"

"Just like this." Luna waved her wand and said the incantation. The lion walked over the table in attempt to intimidate one of the ducks the girl had made earlier.

Romilda laughed out loud at the lion's feeble attempt to learn how to be a duck. "Ace," she said sincerely, picking it up and depositing in in her other hand to see how it would react to its new environment. The little lion quacked.

Luna laughed. This was entirely ridiculous, but in her mind, that was all the better.

"I wonder what would happen if I made a dragon, maybe I could get it to spit fire."

"You should try," Romilda answered vaguely, admiring the tiny animal in her hand.
