Happy New Years!
I have Xani and Satine here in my Author's space, which is good because she's good for nothing but cold medicine and coughing. Everyone at her work is sick, including her. @@ RL humans, what a nuisance.
Our little Satine is growing, talking more. It just amazes me to see how much she's changed in such a sort time. I bet she walks soon, I just bet! We're such proud fathers, she's made it all very easy for us, our little precious jewel.
Xani has gone back to work and I'm at the High School again, the new semester starts next week. Somewhere along the line the School District has coughed up more money, so I can continue my part time status, which is all I ever wanted.
Speaking of which, as Satine grows older, Xani and I seem to have more time for grownup things. We've both missed this, it's good to be getting back to us. Not that I would ever change Satine's role in our lives, but grownups have to be grownups sometimes. Lord knows I love my Xani more than I can ever possibly express.
I have a lot to be grateful for from this past year: My husband and daughter, my friends (even if my Author doesn't always let me be with them) and the life we've made in NO. Some things have been bad, but the good outweighs that.
