Catching up
Where to start?
I began the Ethics Class at the Highschool this Fall Semester. In the process of doing that I discovered that the School District is severely short handed on teachers so I've been running from classroom to classroom filling in the gaps. I made sure they classified me as full time once it became clear that this wouldn't be changing anytime in the near future.
I have to use the lesson plans of the previous teachers, which is a convenience on one hand and an annoyance on the other, I prefer to lead a class in my own way. Alas, no katas given to students who misbehave. Which is a shame, because I truly believe these children get no exercise!
In any case the upshot (speaking like a real Earther now I am!) is that as of Monday I'm a fulltime teacher. This mean after school conferences< Board of Education Meetings, the list goes on. But, with all that, I still will be available to Xani as I have always striven to be because I've quit the bar job. I just can't do the two things and still have a life with my husband and the family we're planning.
I will miss being QJ. Now I'm just Qui to the students. And regarding that? I rather miss Master Qui, because it was a title earned through time and effort. Ah well, vanity isn't the Jedi way, is it?
The conversion of our lives into one including a museling continues. We've chosen a date to conceive and soon, probably sooner than we even imagine! We'll have a new little face to add to the Museworld community.
And we're still talking over names...
