Ugh, I was so mad at the entire universe that yesterday was not Friday. And I can't even really complain about having to be at work because I have spent many days recently not being there. WHATEVER, RAIN IN WINTER IS LITERALLY THE WORST THING.

I guess I'll have to console myself by thinking about every dude in the NHL boning either his bff or his archrival.

A story about how Claude Giroux is a grad student in Philadelphia and gets a job babysitting these three awesome kids because of his old hockey connections (he'd always thought he'd end up playing professionally back home but it didn't work out so now he's studying ________ <--what i had here is too ridiculous to type --->). And how he thought he'd be kind of star struck working for Danny Briere but Danny is just so you know, Danny that it's easy to forget.

He finds out about it from one of the guys at the rink where his rec league plays. And sure, babysitting doesn't sound all that great, but he had little cousins and the kids are old enough that he's not going to be changing diapers or anything. It's more helping with homework and walking the dogs and just making sure the house stays in one piece. That should be easy enough.

Giroux's job mostly entails picking up the kids from school, making sure they get homework done and a decent dinner every night. But sometimes when the team's away and Briere can't get anyone else to watch them and the house, Claude spends the night in the guest bedroom.

But for a guy playing on one of the best teams in the world, he's around the house more often than Claude thought he would be. He - Danny, he insists - gets Claude talking about his grad work while the boys are playing with the dogs in the backyard and Claude almost burns the grilled cheese sandwich he's making for himself because he isn't paying attention.
