8. What is your character's favorite holiday?
House is anti social. He doesn't like holidays. This past year, in fandomhigh he went to an ornament making party with dr_jwilsonmd who was his lover at the time. Hehad a good time, and even contracted a wee bit of the "Christmas Spirit" though it didn't last long. By mid December, his mother had a heart attack, and Wilson broke up with him the day after Christmas. Which only reinforced his dislike of all things holiday.
9. What is your character's least favorite holiday?
All of them. But least favorite is probably a toss up between Valentine's and Christmas.
10. How close is your character to his friends? How well do they know him?
Canonicaly, House has very few friends. An argument could be made for only one. And while he and dr_jwilsonmd are technicaly best friends, they rarely interact anymore. It's awkward for House because he still believes Wilson left him specificaly so he could be with a_phale in some dark, deep corner of his mind. He loves Wilson, he would do anytihng for Wilson. Wilson knows him better than he knows himself sometimes, but there is a strain of discontent between them. House's current boyfriend, geoff_chaucer knows him pretty well, too. He's a man of the world and is very capable at reading House's moods and his motivations. Other than that? There's Susan, queennomore who has a way of connecting with him on a deep, unconscious and emotional level, and Simon gifteddoctor whom he trusts enough to ask for a morphine injection.
11. What is your character's darkest secret? Who else knows about it?
Whatever it is, he hasn't shared it with me. I would guess if anyone knows, it's Wilson. Wilson who can 'knock him down without saying a word or laying a hand on him' as described once in IM with Geoff's player. His drug addiction isn't secret, his death wish isn't secret. I'll have to think on this one, and figure out what it is, becuase right now I really don't know, and I should know.
12. Does your character have any siblings? What sort of relationship does he have with them?
He's an only child.
13. What is your character's favorite hangout?
His own living room. Or bedroom. Preferably with Geoff. He doesn't like to go out much, being the king of antisocialness and all.
14. Where does your character feel most safe?
Where? I'm not sure. When is easier, because I'd say when he's drugged out. He gave up his Vicodin at Thanksgiving. He's moved on to Morphine, but I'm not sure where I'm going with that. But. Back to the question. Where does he feel most safe? I don't think there is any place, specifically, he would say he feels 'most' safe. Sinc ehis infarction, he pretty much feels vulnerable all the time. I suppose he feels safe when he's working a case, puzzling...but again, that's a when, not a where. *sigh* He is a difficult one.
