Duela stood, staring out of the apartment's window, her arms crossed over her chest as she stared at the street below. She could have passed for Nadine, standing there and waiting, watching the street for her husband to come home. She frowned, watching not the street but the wall. This place... had too many memories and no signs of her father having been here. Really, there was little sign that the place had been touched since her mother's accident. A couple people had lived here since then, only for brief periods of time, and the entire complex had seen difficult times. As a business, it was likely on its last legs.
She knew she had to go, had to keep looking. But it was hard to leave. She wanted to scream, cry... something, but she just stood there, tense and nervous. She wouldn't be able to sleep until she found her father, until she knew the rumors were true, until she'd faced him, until she'd gotten answers.
She glanced over at the tall, thin man standing not far away, and she bit her lip, sure of what he was thinking. Standing here, waiting... It wouldn't do any good. She had to get back out in Gotham. She had to start looking again. Duela drew in one more long breath and let it out slowly, looking at the window once again.
