Just a Friendly Update

...And now for context. A few weeks ago I discovered that my apartment complex was booting out everyone for two weeks, ranging from the fifth to the ninth of this month. I had no idea where I was going to go, and didn't manage to find a place to stay until the fourth. So. Yeah. I cut it close, but the majority of my recent homelessness emo has dissapated..
Of course, this means I'm mooching off of a friend, so uh. Yeah. Major gratitude from my end. I look forward to being back in my own home. But in the meantime I get to play with the cat whenever it decides to come indoors.
A few days ago, the friend I'm mooching off of decided to use up a forty dollar graduation gift card, so I tagged along. He wandered the store for a while, picked up twenty-something dollar pair of shorts, wandered around some more, discovered the existance of radio pillows, ditched the shorts, and bought the pillow and a stuffed tiger. Now, this store is on the pricey end of the scale, so it came as a shock to him that he still had money on the gift card. After leaving the store, he went right back inside to get the shorts he'd ditched. And those happened to be on a surprise unmarked discount sale as well. So then I went in with the gift card to buy myself a stuffed elephant. This left the gift card with four dollars and a few cents.
Meaning that the same cashier put up with us three times in a row. Because it was a slow day in the store, and surprisingly few shoppers actually buy anything there. There are cheaper stores out there that sell the exact same thing. But hey--gift card!
Also, it looks like I'll be going to a birthday party on Wednesday. And I'll finally be able to get in contact with a couple friends I haven't seen in two or three months, so all's good on that front.
