last paper finished. i now have about two weeks to study for my exams. methinks i shall try to split somewhere this weekend, maybe day-trip it somewhere pretty if the weather's nice. i shall look into this further....
sigh. got a bill from video-ezy today. frickin 50 bucks in late fees, but they're gonna knock some of it off if i pay it in the next month. ....rock on.
all that's left now is trying to make up for all the time i wasted here. should be...interesting. i mean, i didn't exactly waste my life away here. i had a good time, and met damn cool people. but i really kinda did waste this. [shrug] so it goes.
i spent one of my study breaks last night learning that there are a few mogwai songs i could definitely play on bass...and was really excited by this. i think if i ever get my shit together and write some music, it'll be kinda in that vein--mogwai, explosions in the sky, tarantel, maybe even avant-chamber stuff like rachel's if i get off my ass and learn some serious theory. instrumental stuff like that is the kinda music that lets my brain work normally, just kinda enjoying and intensifying thoughtfulness rather than pushing it in a particular direction.
sigh. i'm becoming a math rock dork. this does not bode well. at least i'm not a music major so i won't go headfirst into this shit. catch me charting the structure of tortoise songs and i think it might be time for an intervention.
