I'm bloody sweating, I am

Is Douglas a noticeably hotter place than Cobh? I mean, I know Cobh is a coastal town with the second largest natural harbour in the world, but Douglas isn't too far away from the coast, either. And yet, despite the summer months having arrived, I still sleep with two quilts down in Cobh, and I sleep with one in Douglas. The one quilt in Douglas is a little thicker than the two down in Cobh, but I still would never have guessed just how warm it is. I've woken up now, just like the past two weeks, absolutely drenched in sweat, my t-shirt and underwear sticking to me as if I've just jumped into a swimming pool, and my fringe looks just the same, or as if I've just come out of the shower. It's a reminder of London in September last year, but that was so hot I couldn't sleep at all, yet I didn't sweat much at night (during the day I sweated like I've never thought possible in this region of the world). Here I can sleep like a baby, but wake up feeling like someone has dumped a bucket of water over me. I don't have this problem in Cobh, so what on earth is going on?

In other news, I had my Sound Engineering exam yesterday, and it went well. I think I've confused one or two answers with the other, and I only answered one of the structured questions (we were supposed to answer two out of three), but other than that, it went fairly well. I'm actually looking forward to my Super 8 exam tomorrow, and Lighting on Thursday should be the easiest one yet. If I get the results I'm aiming for, and I think I will, it looks like I'll be attending third year after all ^_^ It's not called Advanced Film & Video Production for nothing - we'll be learning some seriously advanced techniques for editing, lighting, sound and film, as well as delving deeper into managing budgets and larger film productions. We also have to make a number of different films next year ourselves. Seems like most people will be returning, so... excellent :D
