Bears hate me!

I already did this once in my blog, but that was almost two years ago. Here goes again.

If you read this, please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want -- good or bad -- BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.

Extra points if it involves me fighting a bear!

Do you remember that time that you and I went to the Yucatan peninsula? Wasn't it with Sir John Huntington (I always get him and Duke Damascus mixed up)?

Anyways, Sir John Huntington had hired some local guides for us to search for an ancient Aztec city said to be guarded by vicious spirits. It took us 4 long grueling days (remember when that delightful little boy placed his pantaloons upon his head and paraded around impersonating the good Sir?! Ha ha!), but all the trials the jungle made us endure were no match for what we found.

I can remember the look upon your face when the first guardian appeared to be a gorgeous North American black bear! You pointed out that it was almost an impossibility because the jungle weather would be too warm and moist for such a specimen. Poor Sir John Huntington broke one of his arms when the cur first attacked us! I still wonder what spark of intuition made you realize that the spirit would dissipate if there was nothing to protect.

Where did you hide all of that dynamite anyways? It was a jolly good fireworks display none-the-less, and I can certainly attest to Sir John Huntington's gratitude at having that monstrous beast disappear!

We may not have found (well, preserved) the ancient city filled with historical value, but I think our memories are somehow more precious.

We'll have to call Sir John Huntington and do that again sometime!
