Weds sleep
Thurs walking round Cambridge a bit, we ate lunch in the canteen and supper in this almost pubbish restaurant - I had a lovely americanski burger and chips
Fri walking round Boston - the freedom trail! We saw the state house, the italian quarter, the various meeting halls and buildings associated with Paul Revere's life and ride and the Boston Tea Party. All that rebellion against the dastardly english stuff :D

I also was much excited by the site of a school bus (twice). I hadn't consciously thought them unreal but when you've only seen them on tv you get to thinking subconsciously that they are fictional. I had the same thing with the accents from Byker Grove till we went up north. We ate lunch at this japanese mall which made me feel nostalgic for Abuela, and thus also a little sad, as I kept thinking she would love this, except of course she can't ever see it, being dead. We had a lovely chicken omlettey thing with rice and I shocked GB with the quantity of rice I could put away!!

In the evening we saw Phonebooth in the cinema after pizza. Phonebooth had a couple of problems for me. I mean I thought it was interesting and never once thought I wish it would end. But I just failed to feel much sympathy for colin farrell's character. I didn't care if he died or not. My other problem was with the ending and the denuemont of the face of the caller (good ol' kiefer sutherland). I personally think in some ways the best ending would have been if the caller had killed colin after all his massive confessions and we never saw the caller. Ending with a mystery would have definately been more interesting. But the way it ended with the 'I'll be watching you, so be good or else' ending was a bit, well, annnoying.

After that we ended up at some impromptu party in another grad student's room. A grad party if this is anything to go by is much more chilled than the undergrad kind. But not desperatly less noisy. I sat and chatted to two of GB's friends - a british girl and an irish guy who went to Cambridge england and has virtually lost his accent. They were really nice. As actually are all GB's friends (I kinda have to say that when he's standing behind me!!). No actually really they're all nice, if a bit strange at times.

Today we're off to do mexican at lunch, and then see the ship called 'Constitution', and visit the Aquarium and then we're doing Chinese and mike's pastry for supper which is apparently v.v.v.v.nice.

z'as all folks
bye
