This is what I thought was so funny.
Dad's defending the fact he showers rarely and sponge baths the rest of the time, saying people lived ages without all this constant washing...and GB butts in
Yes and they never cleaned their pants either. They just threw them away. "Oh no this one's used! Lets buy some new ones!"
I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe and afterwards I ached.
Acid Rita was less than impressed. She complained I got out of helping clearing up the table. She has such a strop about such things when we're all home. And to be fair so do I about the washing up rota that appears when they come home. Its weird considering it means less work for all.
All bar two tiny pressies (and Feather's) are wrapped. All bar Bubblegum's and Russia's presents are bought.
Have had minor panic attack about my interview letter for my MA going missing and then finding it in a stupid place. So silly.
I am beginning to feel it's christmass. Midnight mass my second favourite mass of the year(midnight mass at Easter is my favourite) is still to come.
It was hard this morning. Getting up with the alarm, still knackered because my brain wouldn't switch off when my body did last night was not fun. Nor working even if it was only for about 4 hours which seemed shorter.
The first half hour before opening and the first shift till break are 'unreal' time. It's the shifts after that are real as they're on the daily timesheet. So by that reconing I only did two shifts which is nothing! Lovely stuff. One counter session and one arsing about trying to concentrate enough to shelve when you really want to go home.
It's christmass, a special child was born. And his life started so harshly and so gently, like all of us. But above all it started with hope.
Merry Christmas to all and to all good night.
