It's the end of the .......holiday..... as we know it

Anyways. That REM quotation comes courtesy of brainwashing from Feather. Incidentally however much I love REM the fact they have more albums than any other artist in my collection means that they come up every 10th shuffled song or so. Which is a bit frustrating.
So this weekend. I would tell you about the dull but fun things we did but I kind of can't cos I don't remember a thing. My sis was here briefly. I did the usual type stuff (sleeping in late, watching crap tv and faffing) but I'm not good with details. We went to see Savill Gardens. They were pretty and somehow the fact I actually enjoyed wandering round and looking at the flowers seemed unusual. I think it's like galleries I've been 'dragged' round so many gardens that my general feeling in these places is deja vu and apathy, so that when I'm there and I enjoy it, it feels odd. Or maybe it was just a specially nice visit.
Anyways in other news Iceman out of Xmen 1 & 2 played Sparrowhawk in some scifi channel version of Earthsea and I saw it on tv. I was I have to say a bit disappointed. I mean I confess I don't remember the contents of said books whatsoever but I'm sure they were somewhat more deep and less vasaline smudged lens type view than this pile of barely tolerable pooh. As you are all aware I am quite capable of watching crap tv anyway but I dunno I just kept hoping it would get better and it never did. My mood on it hit rock bottom when my sis (elvis) suddenly said O.M.G. it's harry potter. And she was so right. Scary. Except Ursula le Guin was first. I think.
crap have just realised lil bro might have tried to call. But it is like late now. I doubt it. Will just check. nope, no mssgs.
I suspect this w/e is the w/e of no memory because quite simply nothing much happened. Which was blissful. We went to see the graves of Omi and my aunt. It was briefly quite hard as we drove into the graveyard but after a bit it wore off somewhat. Do we ever get over these things? I guess I should assume not. I'm still not over crap that happened at school.
Anyhow, not much else to say. Had some brainwaves about next lent. Might give up certain types of tv, or take up reading bits of bible.
Was v.frustrated on sunday by darned clocks changing. Carefully set up for recording the OC and Enterprise (not sure why the latter) and Earthsea. Completely failed to take into account the vid's clock was still wrong as I'd not got round to changing it. Oopsie. So no OC on sun ((sulk)) will con cooldutchgirl at work into telling me what I missed.
Life is so dull that delivering a convo to GB can sometimes seem an effort even if he isn't in the UK.
In other news have finally caved and decided I will buy THIS case in purple. Would love to have it yellow but I can't seem to find it in yellow with a belt clip for a non ridiculous price or posting location. And purple is more discrete. I'm sure leany75 will be pleased. It's her pet colour ;)
