More news from computer hell....ish
I was told for the second time to defrag my computer and since i was at my wits end after friday night's 5 times crashing, I decided to try it and carefully end tasked on everything but "explorer" and "systray" whatever those are, I just know they are necessary for the computer to run. I was told it should take ages and would need to run all night. So understandably I was confused when it didn't take much longer than an hr. But on the upside straight after IE opened like a charm and things seemed less slow.
Today I thought I'd try again and check this whole IE thing it seemed to be back to its old tricks so I started shutting down stuff like that dumb quick time thing I don't want nr the clock the whole time anyway. And Activsurf and some other thingy and then used ctrl+alt+del to get rid of the odd prog and suddenly like MAGIC! IE! Weird tho. Maybe it's the CD Burner program which I haven't found a way to turn off from the icon nr the clock yet.
Anyhoo. I'm back here which is great cos I hated the continually crashing.
What else? I've enjoyed ignoring work for a few days. I mean I did do some vaguely work related stuff on friday (photocopied a survey at work, looked up some dissertation stuff) but it didn't feel like work. Maybe it's the fact I don't have to listen to dull lectures on mgmt ever again. I mean the lecturer (who had run the children's course last term) did her best but... it's mgmt there's not mcuh you can do to really improve the lectures it's more of a thing that's useful later rather than when you're there doing it in the abstract.
Am going to be hard at this coursework tho on Monday :(
Was so nice to see Feather the other day, kinda like a birthday surprise after the train crappiness. Which they really ought to fix. I mean I know they don't want another bombe surprise like in madrid but..... posters saying "do you know whose bag that is on the train? if not then contact station security" sounds like an encouragement for people to panic shedloads about very little.
Anyway not mcuh to tell y'all about. Z'as all for now folks
