Just saw on BBC News that a new species of spider has been identified?  The interesting thing about this spider is that it is the only recorded species of spider which is a bonafide vegetarian.

This beautiful creature descended from the ceiling of our bedroom on a silken thread and landed on my outreached hand. I promptly ran to get the camera to take his pretty picture.
