you can't take the sky from me!
i was waiting, have been waiting, for two months to talk about it - why risk jinxing it?
but since it's finalized, and retroactive since wednesday, i think i'm safe to finally say i was promoted. with over three extra bucks an hour. how much over? i make 3.01 more than i did. i told my district manager that it was good he went that extra penny, had he not i would've forfeited the position entirely.
but still! the promotion and pay increase is cause for celebration, which we've not done, unless you count the time where i practically threatened jay to take me to the mall for a half hour. was that my congratulatory gift? if we ever get a day off together, we'll celebrate right.
at least now i can start helping out more, financially. i hate not carrying my own weight. and this means a nice birthday gift for mom. nice valentine's day gifts for those who apply.
and much to the dismay of jay, more junk for me. : )
lately i've felt like making things - jewelry, newly decorated messenger bags - but since my awesome new funds haven't kicked in yet and i'd have to pay nearly 50 bucks for the bag and supplies to create it what i really want .. well, putting things together with what i have will do in the meantime.
