happy holidays a few days too late.
i've been so busy with work (ten days straight! slavedriver!), that i haven't had time to talk about my holidays.

they were great. how's that?
i was spoiled this year. jay got me the mario kart nintendo ds bundle i've been mentioning too much lately, and all sorts of comfy accessories and nighttime things for me to wear. james spent way too much money on me and sent a canon powershot digital elph. and it's already in frequent use, as you can see below.
my mother is queen at getting me things that no one else would - useful things, and fun. she's also the queen of book giving (hooray for employee discounts!) and sent me a ton, including this giant history of video games book i've been after. it's about 600 pages, and i worried it might get slow somewhere around page two hundred and i'd put it down - but it's not, and i love it.
and i love animal crossing: wild world for my ds.
i put together a treasure hunt for jay to find his sword, because how can you really wrap a sword without him figuring it out? i got him some dorky books, the rocky horror dvd he's been looking for forever, a video game, etc, etc. i love buying for other people. i was momentarily bummed at the idea that i wouldn't have the opportunity to gift give until next christmas, but my mother and james both have a birthday in january, and soon after that is valentine's day.
i love shopping. and i love animal crossing: wild world for my ds. yup.
