we watched the last disc of firefly last night.
why, why did they cancel that show? it's so witty and funny, and gina torres plays a believable bad ass chippy ( which you never see ), and nathan fillion was molded into a fabulous tortured captain ( joss whedon's specialty: tortured, broody leading men ). i even got a little misty at the end of an episode last night, not so much by what happened ( as jay pointed out, "he had it comin'" ) but because i watched the making of before had and i knew the song that played was more like the composer's good-bye to the show than anything else.
at least we landed in our obsession at the right time, with the serenity movie less than a month away.
also: i forgot to put the corpse bride on the list of things i'm excited about, along with anansi boys.
