i love you, mom.
jay needed a copy of 'naked lunch' on dvd for a school assignment, and while we didn't really expect it to be there i checked blockbuster this afternoon on my way home. it was only when i was repeating the title for the girl at the counter that i realized what i was saying - 'naked lunch'. william s. burroughs. christ, i remember hiding a copy of that in my book during high school algebra. which, by the way, i swear is not why i didn't pass the class.
anyway, the forementioned nonsense has a point. i signed us up for a two week free trial of netflix, i knew they'd have the dvd. i also put a copy of 'finding neverland' in my queue because i don't have a copy and despite the fact that my mother knows i love johnny depp immensely, she would not let me take it. damn you, woman.
so now, i'm waiting for jay to come home so we can add more movies to our queue. how liberating. i looked up and located a copy of 'hercules in new york', i know he's been dying to see it. but the choices! should i rent a teenage chick flick i'm too embarrassed busy and poor to rent any other way? should i rent a new release i don't feel like spending 7.25 on? or, ooo, should i rent an entire season of everybody loves raymond to occupy my time? i'm also interested in renting eulogy. i think this should be decided by jay and cristina, the official couple. ( i.e - he'll pick one, and i'll pick one. )
speaking of my husband, we danced in the living room to 'let's get it on' the other night. ( jack black, not marvin gaye. ) he was grinning the whole time .. which made dancing a little harder, because i was focused on kissing him.
"let's get it on. that's our song. marvin gaye is responsible for our entire relationship!
oh, is that so? i'd like a word with him then."
check out
the pet professional. and while you're at it, some of the web comics i've been reading for years:
PvP and
penny arcade.
i still love this cover of 'bridge over troubled water'. i'll probably kill it before the night is through.
...
that might be all.
