(i didn't want to make my own xanga to write this so i asked kirs if i can write in her xanga so here it goes)
"words of divine consciousness: moral exaltations; lasting feelings of elevation, elation, joy; a quickening of the moral sense, which strikes one as more important than an intellectual understanding of things; an alignment of the universe along moral lines, not intelletual ones; a realization that the founding principle of existence is what we call love, which works itself out sometimes not clearly, not cleanly, not immediately, nonetheless ineluctably."
-- yann martel (don't know who that is but this quote is amazing)
the last line struck me as extremely intriguing. my beliefs of what love is.. and what love has the potential to tranform itself into are, possibly, idealistic to some.. while completely realistic to others. love IS the foundation of life. without love, how would we exist? how would we thrive in life and be able to appreciate life, if we had no knowledge of love? and it's true.. love does work itself out in one way or another.. it takes time, and sometimes its intentions are not always clear. but its there.. directly beneath the surface, in the air, or right in front of you.
I think that we sometimes divulge ourself in the aspects of our lives which are not directly related to love. For if we were able to tear into the core of our existence we would find that a lot of things which we would view as love isn't exactly real. We buy things to appear better or feel better, we spend our time trying to impress people in order to make ourselves appear or feel better, we pay attention to other people's lives and criticize those people before judging ourselves in order to appear or feel better, and we consume alterring chemicals in order to appear or feel better. I think some of us also think that the relationship in which we are in could be deemed as love. I have seen people yell and scream at each other, lie to each other, cheat, manipulate and use. I think this is the main reason why some people hate love, and don't think it doesn't exist. Because society has tricked us to believe that love is anything but kind, and involved with the physical and mortal rather than "divine." First what is divine? and what is mortal/physical? anything mortal and physical is anything tangible. Something which is sensible with the five senses. divinity is hard to explain because it isn't only love. Math can be considered divine too. It is something which you could never see, it could be represented but u can't see the essence or sense it(i thought this to be wrong but trust me according to mathematicians and philosophers it isn't). God is of divinity, hate is divinity, and love is divinity. Why do i include these definitions? because we have through our society and through our minds altered what love is. We have placed it into diamonds and sex we have changed its definition to money and objects, flooded it with the sensible.
True love i think is something which we can't see but feel. In the end Love is of the divine consciousness, something which we can explain and represent, but never see.
leave coments i need input negative or positve i don't care!
Thanks again kirs! ur the best!
