still sick, but hopefully I'll get over it
I haven't slept in days, really. I don't know how I've made it this far. I'm still sick :( We had practice friday night, which was good for me to get out of the house...or so I thought. Being out made me worse, I now have laryngitis from coaching the kids. We taught them some new stuff, like never kick to the goalie--kick it to the other side, and then they scrimmaged. Cade (a new player) didn't want to stop playing after the little game was through, so all the parents got together and we played against them. We all had fun.
Then we came home and we (me, my husband, the 2 kids & my mom) were hungry so we went out to eat. There my mom told me that she got laid off, which wasn't a real shock, because they just got a new boss. The good thing though, she gets a pension plan, all her vacation and sick time that's owed to her, plus she can collect un-employment, which is good seeing how no one's really hiring right now, and that'll hold her over 'til she finds herself a job.
Saturday morning....I got out of bed at 7, yeah I said out of bed cause all I did the night before was just lay there, I still couldn't sleep. I made cupcakes for the players because I knew we were gonna take pics that morning and I figured why not, they're doing good, it'll hold 'em over until game time. It helped, ALOT, we won our second game 12-0. The coach on the other team, isn't nice to me. I don't think he likes me. See, at the YMCA they have this program called M.V.P. which means Making Values a Priority. Values such as respect, good sportsmanship, and stuff like that. Well if you go beyond and do stuff w/ other teams like scrimmages or inviting them to a picnic or outing, it helps out. I've asked him twice to a scrimmage and he turned me down. He says our kids are too advanced. Oh well at least I tried.
Saturday evening...I'm still sick, I have no voice, and my ear starts to hurt really bad...I went to the ER. I have an infection in my ear. Now everything that I hear comes w/ an echo in my left ear. They gave me a shot in my butt ouch :( We drove around to 4 drug stores and finally found one where the pharmacy was open 24/7 *loves Wal-Greens, now* I take it and now I'm even worse...all the meds have the same side effect(s)-'nausea'. I've thrown up 3 times since 3 am, twice while I was typing this. I just wanna get better. I wanna sleep again...pray for me.
