Short rant on current events
It's not a cancer vaccine, goddammit. It's a human papilloma virus vaccine, and it happens that human papilloma virus is responsible for 99% of cervical cancers. The actual "cancer vaccine" is the holy grail of cancer research, and some would argue that it is a theoretical impossibility. Is the HPV vaccine a great step forward in fighting cancer? Yes. Is it a cancer vaccine? Hells no.
