Guys and Dolls

We opened last night.

Being "Guys and Dolls," it couldn't help but be a success.

I LOVE my director's note in the playbill. It's about three sentences long and essentially says: "This was crowd pleasing fluff, and you can tell by the filled seats around you. Come back and see the real stuff we do."

Fantastic.

So yes, despite having a sprained toe, Michael danced his little heart out. I got good reviews based on what people were telling me, and I'm still one of our choreographers favourites - and our choreographer just so happens to have won a Jeff award and has worked all over Chicago and New York, choreographing shows with Patti LuPone and Audra McDonald (yes, one was that production of Passion that was televised a while ago). She's AMAZING.

Dad and sisters come in today and stay through Sunday morning. Then Sunday morning brings Susan and Joseph. I'm excited.

Homework? Not so much.
