countless blessings to be grateful for
thank God for another year! A new year to live our dreams, to work on our plans, to celebrate life and be with the people we love. Although some people would say the past year was not great for them.... I would say every year has been awesome for me because of the everyday blessings I receive which most of us couldn't see until we reflect on these blessings.
I am thankful for my health, and my family's health. The cost of health care in the Philippines is expensive, seeing so many people, even the not so privileged get hospitalized for even the simplest illness or disease like fever, acute gastroenteritis and dengue fever; makes me value my health and made me realize that I am blessed!
I am thankful for my family. No matter what happens, you will always turn to the people who loves you unconditionally. All families and their relationships are never going to be perfect... we will always have bad terms and arguments...but more than that, the good times always overpower the bad times. My sister, who spent her birthday twice because she thought she only had an early flight here back home... we spent her 1st celebration last december 11 but luckily she had another manila flight last december 23 and 24 which she was so ecstatic about! So we had another celebration that day which was a blast! because we were complete as a whole family, and just spending time together even by just dining out at a restaurant is always fun and memorable when I'm with them.
I am also thankful for my job. Yeah, it is one of the most stressful yet low paying job in our country, but nothing can ever compare to the smiles that the people we serve give us and the simple word of thanks that makes it all worth it. I'm close to completing my three-year contract this year, and I cannot believe how time passed by so fast... I still have so many plans for my life and this year I am hopeful of many things...like I always do.
