I've never known what those are! Or how to make them. I feel like I actually see them a fair amount in NY. Do you have to peel them or anything? I'm going to try some next time I see them now. Thanks for the tip!
By the way, I would recommend buying a nopales dish from a restaurant so that you can have an idea of how it is "supposed" to look like and taste when prepared correctly (i.e. texture and flavor are maximized).

You don't have to peel them. Although, you should take the thorns out if that has not been done already.
I usually buy them in a bag already dethorned and chopped up. I was too embarassed to admit that in the entry above when I wrote it a few hours ago.
