Online Documentaries and Sacrelidge
Wow.
In the last week I have become positively obsessed with watching documentaries for free online. (There's some great sites which list them.)
Tonight I'm watching a documentary called "The God That Wasn't There." It's deconstructing the historical Jesus. I Says there was no historical Jesus. I remember hearing about it on NPR months ago. Sounded like an interesting view.
But HOLY SHIT! It's really, really not subtle in its claims. I mean. . . . I'm a proud pagan boy. . . but I felt skeezy and heretical while watching this movie. It went beyond 'challenging a religions's authenticity.' It went straight for the juggular.
