I have spent the entire night in the hospital. My friend and 'tutor' in the leather scene, Jon, called me last night at 12:30. "Can you meet me in 5 minutes outside the hospital across the street from where Woof's used to be?" I was at Tradewinds at the time but, although confused, left immediately.
Jon's pulse was below 40 beats per minute. He had a friend at this hospital and had her give him an EKG scan. It came back irregular, and so he had me drive him to OSU Medical Center's ER. Where we waited. And waited. And waited. They're not quite sure what's going on with his heart. He's having dizzy spells, light-headedness and tightness in the chest. They've rulled out a heart attack. Now the doctors are guessing there's something wrong with his natural pacemaker. At 6:30 Jon told me to go home. His friend Deb is on her way to be with him.
Several nurses and doctors asked about my relation to Jon. (I'll never tell him this, but one asked me if he was my father.) I just ended up saying that we were friends. I'm not sure how they would have reacted to "Dominant leather playmate and tutor." :)
Jon's doing alright, although he's in a great deal of discomfort.
A little mojo this way would be appreciated.
All I know is that between Jon and Ivy, I'm a little bit sick of hospitals.
My bed is calling for me.
