Amazon's algorithms keep pimping the following for me:
(1) Perronne, "A Time Before Me"
(2) Yates, "Leave Myself Behind"
and, in the sci-fi, fantasy genre,(3) Lee, "Crystal Soldier"
Does anyone have an opinion on these offerings that they would care to share? Thanks in advance.
A little about me. Although I'm approaching the age known as "middle," and should be more "calm of mind, all passion spent," I tend toward the fannish squee of a 14 year old on certain favored subjects.
My top 3 favorite gay-themed books of the past year (when I read them, not when they are published).
(1) McCann, "As Meat Loves Salt" (tears your heart out and then stamps on it)
(2) Grimsely, "Comfort & Joy," (lyrical writing, lovely characters) and, in the sci-fi genre,
(3) Lowachee, "Cagebird" (the fantastic, angsty 3rd of a trilogy with space pirates!).
