God does not hate!!!

I'm so proud of all the people in my community that went to show support for the family of the fallen solider, for gay rights and for the soliders yesterday here in Port Orchard. A group of ignorant hate spreading church group from Westboro Baptist Church from Kansas came to my town to protest against: The fallen solider's memorial service, stating that God Hates America, God Hates the soliders in Iraq, God Hates Fags and that people should pray for more body bags from the war to come home.

I am totally against everything that they came here to spread. The are not true Christians! God does not hate, period! I was taught and you can go get the Old King James verison of the Bible and read that our God is a all loving God and a forgiving God. And the only one who should be judgeing anyone is God. It says in the Bible not to judge thy neighbour and to love one another. And we are all created in the image of God, so Gay, Straight, Black, Yellow, White, Purple.... We are all God's children and are ment to be here and God loves us all, no matter what. And if you ask for forgiveness for your sins God will forgive you.

But I can not believe some of the stuff this group did to disgrace our country and the soliders in the war! It is awful! Thomas said that they drug the American flag on the ground. Now that is offensive. The American flag is never to touch the ground. Its a crime.

I would have been at the ralley against the protesters if I didn't have to work yesterday. But Thomas and our friend Joann when. Thomas said he was there for 3 hrs. Him and the others there were freezing their butts off for a good cause! Thomas and Joann were captured on video by the Kitsap Sun, our local Bremerton newspaper. If you go to their website you can see them. Its not a great quility video but you can tell its them.

The link to the article is: http://www.kitsapsun.com/news/2007/nov/30/counter-protest-draws-almost-opposites-together/

But I am proud that our community came together like it did. Like in the article written by the Kitsap Sun, not many times do Military supporters and Gay rights activists come together for the same cause. It truely is touching!

I watched all 3 local news stations lastnight w/ my mom and grandma, King5 news, Komo4 news & Kiro7 news were all covering our lil towns big ralley! Port Orchard rearly makes headlines.
