On going out with friends

On occasion I go out with a group of friends. All of them will have 1 or 2 drinks. Nothing majour. This is something that I like. I know that they do it because they are driving, but sometimes it is for my personal comfort level. The same group smokes pot, and again for my comfort abstains (bad spelling i know) when spending time with me.

Does anyone else have friends that seem to do their best to bend in order to make them feel comfortable?
