Oberlin vs. ATL

ok, so i find it hilarious that i've been in ATL less than a week, and already i've been out on a date, made out with a guy, and got hit on by two more guys, and i could go a whole frickin' semester at Oberlin w/o a guy so much as even giving me a second look.

so yeah, i think last night was the first time i was actually glad to be in ATL. i had A LOT of fun. justin williams invited me out. i met him at the Darlington's (his apt.) so i wouldn't have to leave Gigi (my car) in the parking lot of the bars/clubs for people to steal the stuff i had still left in there from my dorm room (don't worry, i cleared most of it out today and put it in Nicole's storage unit). so Justin's friend Chris drove us over to Burkhart's, and i saw Curtis the bartender who you may remember from earlier LJ entries. i gave him a hug, and he asked how long i'm in town for, and i said well, i graduated so...a while. he had just gotten back from Mexico. i also saw Shawn (also from previous LJ entries) but just for a minute. we also met up with Justin's friend, Mark. after a little while, we went over to Jungle, but the cover was $10! so we then went to heretic which was free before 11. there we met up with this guy Michael Jackson who was really loud and whose handshake hurt my hand. we also met this guy Mark who is the brother of Shalin, one of Bess's friends from Chamblee. so Justin kept buying me drinks so i got pretty altered. i think that's the most i've drunk since my 21st b-day, which y'all probably know is not saying much since i'm not a big drinker. so we danced, and we walked around the pool table where people are having orgies and i got groped. justin and i ended up getting left by everyone, somehow. so we had to take a cab back to the Darlington's and i spent the night since i was too trashed to drive home.

ok, so you're probably wondering about the first line of this entry. well, the person i made out with is going to remain nameless to protect the innocent.

but the guy i went on a date with on friday is named James. i met him on Tues. at YouthPride. he met me at youthpride and drove me in his BMW. we went to lenox mall, had dinner at Chick Fil A (i know, i know, so romantic!) and saw Monster-in-Law which was a pretty good movie. i love Wanda Sykes. she was great. it's funny how Jane Fonda threw in some references to abortion. she's a BIG pro-choice advocate. she also has a scandal about the Vietnam Conflict which i never knew about. James's mom didn't want him to see the movie b/c of it, but he said it'd be all right.

after that he took me back to YP. we hugged and kissed good night, and he drove back to Wolaska where he's in school at Rheinhardt College.
