RL - Great times and sad times

Time for a wee update methinks. My great news is that after 4 years of trying and a miscarraige 2 years ago, my husband and I are now expecting our first baby. Im 18 weeks just now, starting to feel little movements, very exciting and I'm due on 12th October. My sad news is that becuase I had quite a difficult pregnancy in the early weeks, my doctor has me on strict instructions to take it easy which means no more long walks with my big Akita Loki. My husband works late a lot and has a lot of extra curricular commitments so I have been relying on the kindness of my friends to help me walk him when Allan isn't home. After a lot of consideration I decided it was unfair to the dog as he asn't getting the attention and excercise he needs and deserves. So over the past couple of weeks I have been meetin with a family interested in rehoming him. After ensuring they all get along I agreed he could go live with them. In fact Allan has just left to take him to his new home 15 minutes ago and I'm sitting crying like a baby as a type (lol). I'm sue he'll be happy there, they have another dog and a pony for him to play with and have a home up north with lots of fields about for him to run about. I'll still miss him though :(
I am very excited about the baby and realise rehoming Loki was for the best. On the bright sid, I'll be trying to churn out as much fic as possible in the coming months, don't think I'll get much of a chance to when the little one arrives!
