Wow, I need to update.
Saturday, went to Jen's party, which is one of those rare things where you get a good combination on people you already know, and new people you would like to get to know. Mary and Margaret (and Jen, of course) I had already met, and Elly I had only spoken to online, but now I have two new people :)
*pokes elly* I know who you are! XD
Anyway, Saturday was much fun, and I didn't even suck too badly at Laser Tag. I even beat the 8-year-olds! O.o
Sunday I saw Bob and cheered him up, because he was glum. *hugs Bob* This too was very very fun.
Sunday night (or maybe early Monday morning) I finished reading HBP
For those of you who have read it, or haven't read it and don't care, my reactions:
Well, I am proud do say I did guess SOME things correctly. I figured that Dumbledore was probably going to die in the book. Harry couldn't fight Voldemort with Dumbledore cheering from the sidelines; he has to do it on his own :'( I also figured who was crying in the bathroom almost immediately.
But I NEVER came close to guessing the true Half Blood Prince!
*screams in anger*
*stabs Snape*
DIE DIE DIE!
I kept thinking, but Snape always turned out OK before.... It can't be Snape.... Snape will find a way out of the Unbreakable Vow...
*smacks forehead*
And FINALLY, the Shippers shall be SILENCED! Ron and Hermione have hooked up, and there shall be no more discussions on it! Sorry if you are a big shipper, btw. I just got a little tired of the same arguments being thrown around.
I think one of the big things that surprised me in the book, though, was how Harry has changed. He's so.... responsible. Well, he still has a disregard for rules and all, but he has a purpose, and he is going to go about in a responsible, determined manner.
And now, for my little prediction... that I hope does not come true.
Harry still doesn't know what all the Horcruxes are. I have a theory- a very underdeveloped theory- that Harry IS a Horcrux. Or has a Horcrux within him. Think about it: there is still a mysterious, poorly understood link between Harry and Voldemort. Harry somehow has pieces of Voldemort within him, Parseltongue and Harry's ability to hear Voldemort's thoughts being the most notable.
Now, there are several large, obvious flaws with this (if Harry is part Horcrux, then why would Voldemort be stupid enough to keep trying to kill him?!?!). In the meantime, what think you?
