(no subject)
long, ridiculous, fun, stressful, awesome weekend.
and yes all of those words can go in the same sentence :-P.
drove down to athens thursday night to see "fear the penguin" for their second show. the venue was much better this time, so that was cool. marcus "surprised" mike and i and came up, which was great. drove home w/ marco. friday he went to work and i slept till like noon. went to kroger and got some groceries and made dinner for marcus, suraj, and myself (and later john), which was really, really nice. saturday hung out all day w/ my marco, which was fabulous. lots of one-on-one time, which generally doesn't happen at Captain Jack's, so yeah. ended up going shopping and eating out and walking around atlantic station for a while. then the insanity began.
ellie and chris started dating like 8 days ago and chris was down in sparkle city this weekend. ellie gets off work at midnight saturday night/sunday mornin' and drives to ATL from rome. we leave ATL and they continue towards spartanburg while i go to athens and get mikey. on the way to meet them in easley (of all places...) i get a speeding ticket... a bad one... which was reduced to something manageable, thankfully. well, manageable in that i can afford the ticket and there's only 2 pts. involved. paying for the possible increase in my insurance is a whole 'nother problem on my parents' list of problems. gah.
so anyways we eventually make it to the lovely college motor inn 'round 4:30ish, and surprise the hell out of chris. go over to the dorms and get dani, and the six of us crashed in a single at the college inn. thankfully marco brought an air mattress for the two of us. poor dani/mike (yeah right i'm sure they were fine....). this mornin' we went to mass on like no more than 3 hours sleep (of course when we actually tried to go to sleep no one would shut up :-P), then over to IHOP (i seriously just typed iHop at first.... stupid Apple... :-P). came back to converse and hung out for a bit. the kids just left, and i'm gettin' ready for dinner. then a shower b4 MNATO/MAL, yay..... these long practices are going to be the death of me i swear.
next few weeks are insane. marist MAL on thursday/friday. practice GRE on saturday. end of the semester on the 31st, then Feb 1-5 in ATL (poor marco...). then the MAL/MNATO season gets into full swing. and i can't afford any of my books.... g-d.
