Wednesday....

I've just booked a room at a hotel in Luxor, you know.... Valley of the Kings.... for Wednesday through Friday. This gives me Wed traveling from Cairo (9 hour train ride, thankfully air conditioned), Friday to Cairo, and Thursday for exploring and taking lots of pictures. This is my first trip alone in Egypt. I've booked the hotel ($26 for 2 nights!), checked train prices and times, and everything I can think of to prepare. I'm so excited!!! Classes begin on Sept 7th, and now that Survival Arabic is over, I want to explore.

I hope that I have my textbooks beforehand so I can have something to read on the train.
