This is really adorable, especially how you describe how even at such a young age, Bridge can see and feel the auras. And as you post these, I'm going to be living vicariously through him a bit, just because we didn't really celebrate Chanukah much growing up even though Dad is Jewish. While I practice different beliefs, it's still something I'd like to better understand.
I go on the theory that Bridge's powers are so strong and so unique in perception (compared to the others... they all have outward physical powers whereas his are entirely mental) that he must have had them right from the start. Poor guy, can you imagine being a baby and not knowing what's going on in the first place, then seeing all these traces and colours all over? Hearing thoughts that aren't your own? Must have been very confusing.
Live vicariously through him! He's a great character to do so. ;)
