I've been packing to go to camp... I know I overpack, but I'm always so afraid I'll forget something! At least there is a CVS down the street, so if I forget something, I can go buy it...
Today Saul Cornell (Orlando's resident luthier, for those of you who don't know) had to bring Kurt's bow to his house (he just rehaired it), since Saul lives a street away from Kurt, so I brought Kurt my endpin to give to him. Saul will sharpen it for me. Yay! Kurt said Saul said, "Is she trying to kill somebody?", seeing as how it is already pretty sharp. But the fact is, in the auditorium at EMF, I don't use a rockstop; I just stab the stage, and so do all the other cellists and bassists. (The cello-bass portion of the stage looks like it has been housing a bunch of woodpeckers...) If my endpin isn't super sharp when I go, it'll be dull after a while and I'll have to use my rockstop. So basically I do want it to be deadly. =)
