Dear Imaginary Livejournal Readers,
Is it wrong to ship to people in real life? In this instance I'm referring to two actors (RDJ and Jude Law --> Their love is so pure!!!) but now this question has got me thinking about real life non-celebrities as well.
When ever we say too ourselves "Ooh, I hope they get married!" (I might be the only one who says this,) aren't we in a way shipping those people? I think in any fan situation we ship certain pairings because we feel bonded to one or more of the characters and we want to see them happy, so if one of those people is the real life friend who really was there when you were in the hospital or your car broke down or you felt like your cat was judging you for reading too much fanfic or whatEVER, and you see a potential partner near them and think that the two might actually make each other happy for a significant amount of time THAT'S OK, YES?
I think yes.
This would be a much more interesting discussion if I had readers. Then again, I might have more readers if I facilitated more interesting discussions.
Or posted more cute cat pictures.
Or, more likely, posted more porn.
Screw it. I ship RDJude.
