(no subject)
Yet another great birthday under my belt.
I was woken by my parents whom I had hung out with the night before. They came up just for friday night to visit me!!! I packed up about a quarter of my room and sent that stuff home w/my parents, since it definitely wouldn't have fit at the end of the year. We went to the blue chair and I got a scrumptious and delicious Town Tramp smoothie and irish oatmeal. that place was so crowded b/c of the cold. It was forty degrees and rainy on my bday, but that didn't spoil anything. We then dropped my dad off at the gym b/c he's just obsessed like that, and mom and I made the twenty minute trip to walmart to stock up on things, then promptly got lost on the way home b/c we were trying to find a shorter way. this is one of the things that i am looking forward to at elon or carolina next year...not getting lost on the way to walmart in the middle of nowhere, because the walmart will most likely be about five minutes away.
I said goodbye to my parents, which was sad, but i'm used to it. i went upstairs to my room where i was surprised by tess and terrell with a fully decorated room, most of which was done by my roommate but she wasn't there, unfortunately. streamers, balloons, silly string, and happy birthday signs were everywhere!!! i got a "g is for gangsta" shirt and a scarf from p, and a homemade scarf from tessandra. i was so happy. earlier in the week p had also gotten me a book titled 'hippie', and a small cactus. it looks like a penis so we got a condom for it. i don't know how that would work, b/c holes in the condom from the needles are no good.
tess cut my hair and me, tessandra and penelope just hung out in the room all day. tess so thoughtfully decided that, when i was in the shower, she would im everyone on my buddy list "it's my bday", in cluding those whom didn't know that i had their screennames and those whom i haven't talked to in four or five years. thanks tess!!! :)
we then headed over to mi casa, where i talked to the waiter and with my spanish skills, persuaded him to give me a margarita even though i didn't have an id. "pondria tener una margarita por favor?" i's got skillz. i then got refills and a cream pie in my face b/c it was my "twenty first" birthday. it was quite lovely, and then i find that my rich friend chad paid for everyoen's dinner. thank you chad. it was frickin' great. i was handed free beer and liquor the whole night b/c it was my bday, gah that is so great.
we got back to my room and encountered sad times b/c p's friend from home wrote her what she thought was a suicide note, basically blaming all of his troubles on her. ouch. i didn't exactly know how to react to that situation. our head resident came in and sat with her for a long time, and i left to go to big mike's room, where everyone else was. weird---papa jim ( the head resident) and my friend nancy sat in me and kirsten's room for about an hour and a half, all by themselves, with nancy trashed and just talked. i kept coming back to see if they were gone, and nope, still there! strange.
then came beta, where there was a fun band. i saw lots of friends and danced MUCHO MUCHO. actually, it wasn't even dancing, it was kind of me waving my arms around a lot and running around and jumpming. i have unique style, back off! ty got me to take a picture of his fraternity brother making out hardcore wiht some chick, and that was really really funny. i took many random pictures. then we went to the "pube" aka the pub, and i had an egg and cheese wrap, the last meal of my normal eating. i'm gonna try to lose ten pounds before i return home on may 12th or 13th. i think i can do it. i then passed out when i got home. yay!!!
i love my friends and family and best friends from home more than they will ever know!!!
