Our trip to Chicago was great! amiraelizabeth is EVEN MORE AWESOME IN PERSON, OMG! (I <3 you, hon!)
I'll try and post what pics we took (camera died halfway through Saturday) and relate the story of why we walked most of the entire length of N. Michigan Ave twice!
I am only posting now because this is the first night I've been home! We got home on Sunday to find that our ENTIRE APT BUILDING was without water! So, even though all we wanted to do was crash, we threw another pair of clean underwear in our suitcases and headed over to Chris' parents to bum a bed in their extra room for the night.
Because of this (and other distractions, like friends adopting new wiggly little puppies) I am OUTRAGEOUSLY BEHIND in everything on the internet! What has happened to you since last Thursday, my friends?
I'll trade you this article that cracked us up for probably five minutes: "A man arrested for allegedly masturbating at his mailbox..."
And now back to reading through all this RaceFail '09 business, which is wildly interesting on a myriad of levels (even if some of them make me angry and rage-y and sad all at the same time).
PS: Watchmen was pretty damn good, huh? I sort of wish Zack Snyder had asked for my advice before releasing the finale cut, but I suppose that is just going to be the story of my life. (But seriously. Why wasn't Bubastis ever explained to the poor dopes who've never read the story?) That title sequence was really, really hot, though.
