it's still dark outside...
yes, it is before 4 am and i am wide awake about to depart. i go to the school to get on the bus. the bus will take me to dallas. i will board an airplane that will take me to new york, and havoc will ensue. i'm pumped.
my dad brought me a valentine's gift yesterday. earrings, matching necklack and rings with pink sapphires. and a teddy bear. he has gotten me a teddy bear every year that i can remember, but lately the gifts have gotten much better. he is so sweet. he tried to start explaining how upset he was that he couldn't go to new york with me (like my mother, my mother-in-law, my sister, and my sister's friend) to see me sing in carnegie hall, and he nearly cried. he told me how proud he was of me and how much he loved me. so then i started crying. my dad is such a wonderful wonderful man.
i hope i didn't forget anything in my packing. how do you pack for negative degree weather and one foot of snow?! i have no idea. hopefully my array of long sleeve t-shirts and sweaters will suffice for my layering needs. i hope my carry-on isn't too big, i only wanted to check one bag, so my carry-on and "personal item", my purse, isn't too stuffed. i mean, they're stuffed, but hopefully not too stuffed. well, it's almost 4 now and that means it's time to wake up peter and get him to drop me off at the school. jeni out-
