Two great beards. One great show.
But the crowd was old. Very old. Geriatric, even. I heard a woman call me a whippersnapper
and talk about "concert etiquette." "When you pick a place to stand, you stay there! Young
people these days." After Iron & Wine, the ever unbelievable Sam Beam, Glen Hansard
walked to the front of the stage with his ratty guitar, stepped onto the amps in front, and
played
"Say It To Me Now" acoustic, which was really powerful. He sings/screams with
such emotion, which is surprising since he's probably played this song so many times since
Once was released. The whole concert was a sort of Iron & Wine, Swell Season, Frames,
Calexico orgy. They are all buddies, apparently.
On another note, for my musical homies, here's
Indie Rock T-Shirts That Would Never Sell.
