earth's joys grow dim, its glories pass away

They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old,
they shall not grow weary, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
we will remember them.

I'm watching the Gallipoli Service (it's on every station). Anzac day is so sad. But also, very touching that so many people still have such respect for our diggers. It makes me so proud to be an Australian. It would be so, so moving to be right there at Anzac Cove for the service. I think Australians are becoming more patriotic. Maybe it has something to do with the americanisation of the world, we hold on to those things that are just ours, we won't let go of our national identity.
