[Fox, however, has no interest in playing fair, and makes a snowball to drop on Albinass' head from up on a rooftop. The shadow might give it away as it comes down, but Fox hopes this might get her at least a few hits.]
...are the ones who took her off the playing field when she wasn't defeated. So this instead, she lets slide. She moves quickly out of the line of attack and her eyes find Fox.
This presents a challenge. Her needle thousand attack goes out in all directions quite far - exactly what she'd need for this sort of range, too - but the same weak point applies: because of its range, it's not as strong as her closer-range attacks.
Snowballs will be the same. She can possibly get them up to the roof, but they'll be slow and lethargic by the time they get there. Several snowballs, seemingly at once, head that way anyway.]
[She moves back from the edge of the roof, letting the snow land harmlessly on the ledge. She packs another snowball, and this time throws it rather deliberately at the warrior woman.]
[As the queen piece, she is amazingly agile and fast. She combines the movement of both the rook and bishop. Thus, with the height of the building giving her time anyway, it's fairly easy to miss the snowballs.]
[Fox just stares at her for a moment before snarling and turning to head downstairs. She doesn't go straight for Albinass, though, but rather out a door on the far side of the building. She goes in a large arc, trying to get behind her to throw a snowball at her unexpectedly. She hopes.]
[No wonder she was saying a human wouldn't be fast enough... That was going to make this a lot trickier, but that didn't deter Fox. She moves for cover, then starts packing another snowball.]
[Albinass retaliates for that first hit with a barrage of half a dozen snowballs at once, all aimed at just very slightly different spots. It'll be hard to avoid all of them.]
[Fox throws herself to the ground in a roll, dodging four but taking two as she tries to get out of the way. She also loses her blanket-turned-coat as she rolls, but that doesn't seem to bother her as much as wanting to get a few more snowballs at Albinass does. She rolls to her feet and runs for cover, scooping up snow from a waist-high pile of debris as she goes.]
[This is becoming more agreeable by the moment. If she's going to participate, she'd prefer a sharp, quick opponent like Fox. Albinass could wish for ice-type spells to help her, but those have never been her domain. Instead, she continues relying on her physical advantages as snow bounces harmlessly off her body and she retaliates.]
[Fox's main fighting style is based on dodging rather than on taking hits, so dodging snowballs isn't that far out of the norm for her. She tries to keep moving, now for warmth as much as to keep herself from getting hit. She throws another snowball at Albinass, hoping that the warrior is of the type to shrug off hits, and thereby let her rack up points.]
[She is. But shrugging off hits is also letting her continue retaliating unimpeded, at a quicker rate than a human can match outside a very, very few.]
[For every hit Fox gets against Albinass, it seems she's taking two or three...at best. This clearly isn't worth it. She runs for another bit of cover, trying to think of a strategy to use against her. With the gargoyles at least, they seemed to base their attacks just on speed and strength, leaving her a chance to try to fight smarter. She'd have to come up with a plan, and fast, to beat the chess warrior.]
