As of today, this month's plot has concluded, and the Gardens have begun to return to normal. There will be an NPC post shortly to wrap things up ICly, but in the meantime here is a brief rundown of the way things have wrapped up.
If you have an ongoing thread in the open plot log that you'd like to continue to backtag, please feel free to do so. However, characters who ventured into the wild places are assumed to have returned to the Gardens by now with the stones they've recovered.
This morning, the characters in question will have discovered the stones vanished - recovered by the incarnae. Their venture is not without its reward, however. Characters who participated in returning the stones will discover a small mark on their right palm in the shape of a stylized crimson heart. The mark seems permanent, like a tattoo, and no amount of washing will get it off. It is not simply a tattoo, however, but a mark of favor from the incarnae. Characters who have one of these marks may ask for a single wish or favor from any one of the incarnae, and that wish will be granted. One stipulation: things requested must be intangible.
EXAMPLES:
Okay requests: Asking after the well-being of the character's loved ones back in her world. Wishing for a temporary boost to powers or abilities (within reason). Requesting temporary good luck in romance or friendship.
Not okay requests: Wishing for physical, tangible objects. Requesting to make someone fall in love with the character. Asking to go home.
Essentially, anything that can be used for godmodding or infomodding is off limits, as well as requests for physical objects (characters can make those easily with the soil from the wild places, after all) or living things. If you aren't sure if your character's wish would be okay, feel free to ask us.
A caveat, as is usual with these sorts of things: be careful what you wish for. Also, your character doesn't need to use their wish right away; the mark and the power it contains will remain until the character uses her wish, after which it will vanish.
As always, if anyone has any questions, just ask!
Additionally, we won't be planning a large mod-run event next month, but there will be one or two smaller "mini-events" which will be detailed in a future post.
