"You should go somewhere exotic"
Why does everyone feel the need to give me their opinion on my wedding and honeymoon, completely unsolicited? I mean co-workers I barely talk to and other such vague aquaintances. And they have such definite opinions, too. I am apparently terribly uncool for considering not flying somewhere exotic, despite the fact that for me, anywhere tropical in August sounds like the stupidest idea ever. I would be completely miserable. I'm just not really sure how it's anyone else's business where I go on my honeymoon, or why people would be almost offended that I don't want to go to Jamaica. I'm sure it's lovely, and I'll go there for a winter vacation sometime but in the middle of summer? Not happening!
