Tenshi, of course, knew nothing about this. As far as she was concerned, this was about hunting down Echidna and beating her soundly. And someone else, who appeared reasonably competent at tracking people (or so it seemed) was perfect for Tenshi in that regard. How dare that twit give her scales and make her say all those things to Kazumi to get rid of them!
Grr.
"Souji?" She asked, noticing the woman with a hand on her sword. She didn't seem armed herself, but then, she didn't need to draw her weapon.
"Okay, so we're going to go into the caves and try to find Echidna. That means not wasting time on the monsters, okay? All fighting is going to do is get her attention on us early and tick her off," Souji says, with the air of a team huddle. She was used to having a few more people around for those, but...
"Because you seem more reliable than a sword made out of Chaos Sand," Souji admits. "And if Echidna's really, you know, Echidna, I'd like someone who can help me fight."
She stops and seems to consider. "If you don't think you're capable of being sneaky, though, I won't make you come with me."
"Awesome. Let's get going then," Souji says, leading the way into the cave. She walks quietly for her size through years of habit, and quickly takes a very alert stance to keep an eye out for any patrolling monsters.
Tenshi wondered if she had been tricked, and then dismissed that. It didn't really matter, besides, she wanted Echidna, not random snakes, so this really was in her best interest, anyway.
She followed Souji quickly enough, sitting on her keystone, and paid attention as well. If Souji'd be able to sneak through this, so could she.
Souji's experience in running through dungeons serves her well. The monsters are new, but she's still light enough on her feet to dart around behind them. She has no idea where she's going, of course, though you wouldn't know it to look at her. Tenshi may notice, if she's not too busy being moody at not lasering things, that Souji simply takes every right turn she can, turning around when she comes to a dead end.
Tenshi noticed eventually, since she DID spend a lot of time moping, indeed.
"Is there any reason for your pattern? Other than finding a lot of dead ends, I mean..."
Tenshi wasn't used to labyrinths, and so she did not know the famous only-left-turn or only-right-turn strategy. Her strategy, the last time, had been to walk down, and use her power to create a way up when walking out...
She cuts herself off to duck back around a corner and avoid the sight of a patrolling Dracaena. When she's sure it's out of earshot, she continues, "it's a system for searching a place completely without getting lost. Echidna might not be somewhere we can just charge in straight to find her."
Souji peeks out around the corner again to check if it's safe...

"Hey, you got un-cursed," she observes. "That's good!"
She gestures toward the cave entrance. "You still want to do this? Going into the caves again is more likely to get you cursed again than anything."

Of course it was.
"I sure do. The stupid Echidna woman won't get me a second time, that's for sure!"

...better get this next part out of the way then.

"Wait, you're serious?! But...why? I mean, why did you want to go there with me, then, if it's just sneaking around...?"
